Cervical Medial Branch Nerve Block was something I did not know about and to be honest, when I found out what they must do, I was a bit apprehensive about the entire
procedure.
Back story, I had to have emergency ACDF surgery in March of 2018 where they removed and replaced C4/5 and C5/6. Since then, I have lost range of motion, constant headaches and have been “living” with the constant nerve pain as well as muscle tension on a daily. Yes, I am sure that a mitigating factor was the lack of PT that I was directed to do.
This morning was the diagnostic phase of the CMBNB to determine if the proper nerves were identified and I can unequivocally say, I now have full range of motion to left and right without the nerve pain so much so, I can now get back on my road bike and look over my shoulder without having to come off the grips and turn at my torso!!!
Yes, one of the outcomes you hope for is to eliminate/minimize pain and or get back your range of motion, but, more importantly, if you are like me and you don’t have any “procedures”, first one ever was 2018, and now this one, you want to be put at ease and comfortable and Cpt. Newton with Valor Pain & Wellness did exactly that!
Thank you, sir, and thank you Tatum for assisting Cpt Newton, even with your ever so light soft hand pats that you had to provide a couple of times. Haha.
I highly encourage and recommend that you all get in contact with Valor Pain & Wellness as they offer a ton of different procedures like STEM Cell, PRP, CMBNB….
